In 2011, while serving as Program Director at Leave Out Violence (LOVE)—a nonprofit recognized for its use of the arts to engage and empower teens against violence—Erica began integrating the arts into group settings for young people. She envisioned a club where members could showcase their work, receive feedback, and grow collectively. In September 2014, Erica organized the first informal gathering for the Camera of the Month Club, and a month later, she established Soho Photo Gallery as CMC’s permanent home, which has thrived ever since.
